Baby News - 29 Weeks!

Hi Everyone,

I just thought I would give you another update on how our pregnancy is going! Katherine is now at 29 weeks (as I am sure you can see from the photo below). Getting closer now! Below is a bit about where our baby is up to in terms of growth.

Thanks again for your support, will keep you updated!

Dale Beaumont

"Your baby is now developing a special layer of fat called brown adipose tissue (or BAT). BAT is your baby’s main source of heat production after birth (similar to the fat of hibernating animals). Newborns have a limited ability to shiver, sweat or move to regulate their own body temperature. By 40 weeks, BAT makes up 2 to 7 % of your baby’s total body weight. Premature babies have trouble keeping warm after birth because they lack BAT. This is why they are cared for with overhead heaters or humidicribs in intensive care nurseries."

    Hi Dale
Stephen told me that you called him a few weeks (or months) ago with the news that you and Katherine are having a baby. WOW that is so great!!!, as someone who has not long gone through it, let me tell you that it is the most fantastic, rewarding experience you will ever go through and each day just gets better.
Thomas is now nearly 10months and definately keeping both of us very busy.
From your website I can see you have been pretty busy.
Anyway, all the best to both of you and enjoy your time together before bubba comes along.

Wow! Guys you are up for the best times of your life!

I still remeber it just like yesterday when my daughter was born almost two years ago. It is just one of those things that can always put a smile on your face when things are gloomy.

I look forward to every day both dawning and waking up and getting Olivia out of her cot and the end of a big day at work when I pick her up from childcare and she comes running from me.

    You guys will love it!
    All the best
    Rob
P.S Love the emails as wel!
