Every January we run a 5-day Live In Camp with 30 brave teenagers. This includes a fire walk, high ropes course, raft building exercise, netball challenge and that’s only the beginning! Other highlights were that we played Robert Kiyosaki’s Cashflow101 and another game called Leverage until 3am! Along the way, participants set goals for the years ahead, overcame negative beliefs and discover important leadership skills.

It truly was a life-changing experience for the participants, who were able to listen to some amazing speakers and learn so much about themselves and the others around them. One of the best aspects of the camp is the chance for everyone to make life-long friends who are uplifting and offer support for their future.

For me personally, this is one of the most rewarding things I do and I totally love sharing the experiences and making a contribution to the next generation. I’m already looking forward to next year’s camp.

I love this time of year!! I clean out my office, my car and my wardrobe. But not only that, I make a list of all of my successes during the previous year and take time to think about the things that I have to be grateful for. Also I refocus my direction and do some major goal setting for the year.

Here is a quote that I once heard from Leadership expert John Maxwell that has always stuck in my mind, and I think it is appropriate for this time of year… “While you can’t go back to the beginning and make a brand new start; you can start from now and make a brand new end.”
